"Dreams seem at first impossible, then improbable and then when we commit ourselves they become inevitable" M. Gandhi.
This series, has elements in common that form a constant and unifies it: the patterns of the
composition, objects represented, tonal scale and pictorial technique. Each work is done in a
range of purple tones that speak for themselves. It is worth noting the relevance of the
chosen painting technique, acrylic applied with a palette knife, prints a peculiarity to each of
the textures that are placed in the work. The lumps, cuts and fillings, reflect the intensity and
expression that transmits sensations through each spatulate.
Through painting, I find the expressive mechanisms to somehow understand my place in the
world.
It is a work that, although it may seem playful, translates into a sincere dialogue between my
deepest essence and the canvas, which gives me back a dreamlike image of the future.
Feelings, thoughts and desires are projected on the canvas, with the complicity of the
painting technique with which I feel very comfortable: acrylic with palette knife.
The textures obtained through the material load and the rapid spatulate offer me ideal
pictorial possibilities to express certain states of mind and intimate encounter with myself. I
seek to create a specific atmosphere fleeing from the smoothness of the brush, accepting
the strength of the spontaneous stroke and the introspective color, almost magical, of
constant transformation.
