The young Colombian painter claims his personal and artistic maturity, the result of a trajectory marked by effort and persistence in pictorial experience. This creative impulse has allowed him to develop a broad technical range, highlighting the magical spontaneity of gestures on the canvas, the dynamism of color, and the interplay of light and shadow that transcend figurative references.

Throughout his artistic residency in Altea, I have been able to closely follow the storm of emotions that flood Tomás’s personality and his ability to transcend these concerns in his works. Thus, the creative act approaches a form of mysticism in which the struggle between his own contradictions crystallizes into a form of illumination and elevation through painting.

Each work is a doorway into the artist’s interior, but also a mirror for those who dare to look; a personal and intimate battlefield through a series of episodes in which the soul is built while it trembles.

The choice of the title refers to a decisive move: the moment in which the artist stands before vertigo, fear, and uncertainty, and declares: I am still here, there is life, and with it, the will to continue creating.
