The new D'VINO exhibition space located on Carrer Filarmónica, 2 of Altea, has the honor of presenting the pictorial exhibition “Ecos de Light” by the young artist Tomás Salazar Suaza.
Tomás began painting landscapes and figurations exploring color and composition, then tending towards symbolic abstraction with architectural references, making use of various techniques in acrylic with intense palettes. In these initial works the young painter addresses the inner emotional drama, passions and contradictions existential through pictorial experimentation with shadows and depths.
In the transition to personal and artistic maturity, Tomás emerges a new purpose of dialogue between light and shadow, whose Transcendence invites contemplative reflection. In this new pictorial stage, the clarity of color and gestures stand out in the stroke with great intensity and fluidity. The conflicts and tensions of the Past shadows now become a new energy of illumination and dynamism through the movement of the spatula. In The blank canvas features grooves, textures and superimposed layers. creating a choreography of emotions.
In the words of Thomas, “Ecos de Luz” is a bridge between what I was and what I am called to be. It's the acceptance that my darkness and my light are parts of a whole that I can now contemplate with greater clarity. This transit marks not only my evolution as artist, but also as a person, and it is my way of inviting those who see my work to reflect on their own transitions, to find your own echoes of light.
